Shift, shift, step, step.

Those soft sounds drifted onto an ebony and alabaster husky's eardrums, and Mayonaka glanced to her side, toward the direction of the sound. Pale blue eyes gleaming, she turned, slowly, to completely face the sound. The slash scar that went diagonally across her chest was slightly visible, and the x-shaped scar upon her left hind leg was the exact level of visibility that her chest scar was. A faint smirk played upon her delicate lips, but it almost immediately disappeared as she pulled on her act. Her expression transformed from mischief-noting to calmly emotionless.

She waited until she spotted a shadowed figure shifting within the shadows of the building, and then she padded closer, almost silently, as the figure retrieved something. Inside, she was smirking, but on the exterior, she appeared anything but mischievous; calm and collected seemed more like it.

Step, step, breath, breath.

Those sounds played into her lobes as she inched closer to the brute, and it was soon that light from the windows shone upon him. The vagabond was a black lab, and he seemed to be taking dog biscuits, more than enough for one, however. He must have had someone else to feed. No matter, she was going to attempt to socialize with the dog anyway. "Salutations," she said coolly, in a feminine way. Obviously, this was all on act, for she was still smirking on her interior.

A life of lost,
will it now be shown to light,
to wonder?

"I have enough food to feed two so if you want you can help yourself." Lobes pricked up at the male's friendly words, and she was slightly relieved and slightly surprised at the same time. Then again, she had lived a life of battles, so she had to grow accustomed to others with a variety of different personalities. Slightly shaking her head, she signaled that she wasn't actually hungry, yet. "I just want to talk first, then I'll see if I'm hungry," she said coolly, before padding to a couple of feet next to him. Settling down onto her stomach, she glanced at the screen, watching as the movie continued on. Of course, she wasn't really one to take much of a liking to any movie, but this would have to do.

Crashes, screams, whooshes, and relief. Her attention was barely caught upon those sounds, and she rested her apex upon her paws. Her pale blue optics rested upon the screen, and she couldn't help but feel somewhat bored again. Only a few more moments, and then you can show yourself. She stifled a faint sigh as she continued to do and say nothing; all she did was lay there, head upon paws, and glance at the screen, watching the movie do its job.

Perhaps so,
perhaps not.
We may never know.

Mayonaka couldn't help but allow the faintest hint of her smirk to play upon her lips as he narrowed his orbs, seemingly in a suspicious fashion. "Okay.." The hesitancy he had before he spoke told it all to her, and she decided that she wouldn't need her disguising act much longer. "What exactly are you here to talk about...?" A faint chuckle escaped her lips, and her expression loosened, from stone to somewhat mischievous, but not intending harm, all the same. "Well, you see.. I'm a dimwit when it comes to working these things, so, I was wondering if anyone could show me how. I kinda ran into you, since I was chased out at another spot by a couple of dogs." Her smirk finally crept onto her lips, and her pale blue optics rested intently on the male.

I am only here for help.
For, you see, I have only been recently released,
and I need another living soul to assist me.

Darling, I'm not here to hurt you.
Really, I promise.
If you don't believe me, I'll prove to you that I'm no harm.

"If you believe that can fool anyone then you are mistaken. I want you to tell me exactly what you are up to and to get out afterward." He then snarled at her. "If you don't get out by yourself I will show you the way to the door with force if I have to." A faint sigh escaped Mayonaka, and her expression slightly calmed; he didn't scare her at all, for she had experienced much worse aggression, and she felt that she could fight this dog off without receiving too much damage. Then again, looks and attitude were deceiving.

"Oh, dear, I'm telling the truth. Does my expression frighten you? Darling, you only need to fear me if you mess with my temper or emotions." She got to her paws, her shadow slightly looming over him. "I'm not here to cause any harm; now, if you want to fight and keep believing I'm lying, I suppose I shall be forced to defend myself." She stifled a growl of frustration, and she released a faint sigh instead of a growl to slightly note her frustration.

I'll prove it, I promise. Believe me.
